So in Love

Yes, I am late on the update but my life has not stopped spinning since the moment this little girl was born. Having 2 kids is a totally different ball game, and "me time" is slim to none these days. Truthfully, if I have "me time" it is spent either showering and sleeping! So here is a brief overview of her birth.
So it all started Wednesday morning when I noticed that I was leaking a TINY bit of fluid that totally seemed insignificant at first. I had been leaking for a couple of days and went 2 days before and they said it wasn't my water so I really didn't think much of it. I always thought of my water breaking as a gush of fluid but something told me I better go back to see the doctor just in case. Well, thank goodness I went because this time the test came back postive for amniotic fluid and I needed to give birth within 24 hours in case of an infection.
They then started the petocin at 5 and clearly stated I could not get an epideral till I reached 4 centimeters. Well it took FOREVER to get to a 4 and the petocin was really kicking in, making the contractions so not fun. I finally reached a 4 at around 9:30 and they gave me my glorious epideral. Once I received the epideral I fell asleep instantly and Ryan woke me up telling me he was going to get something in the cafeteria. Mind you only 40 minutes had past since I was a 4 so we all thought we had time to sleep and eat. Well, we were kinda wrong.
The nurse came in and said my contractions were really crazy so she wanted to check me to see what was going on. I was the only one in the room now half asleep ( Ryan was getting something to eat) and the nurse checked me and screamed that the baby was crowning and I better not sneeze or cough or the baby will seriously come out. 40 minutes ago I was only at a 4 and now the baby was crowning..... freak out time because my husband was not there and this baby was coming out. She paged the doctor and by some miracle Ryan came in the door stating the vending machine was broken( talk about divine intervention). By the time the doctor came brooklyn's head was completely out and she ran over to catch the rest of her body and she literally slid out of me. Talk about making it easy for me....no pushing or anything!
So life has been wonderful since and I have never been more in love! She is such a good baby and she is so fun to cuddle with and just admire. She has her nights and days mixed up, which makes me a zombie during the day but over time I know it will get better. Weston still doesn't know what to think about his sister. He mostly avoids her ( which is a blessing since he has broncitis), even though there will be times where I will catch him trying to put a binky in her mouth and trying to swing her in her swing.
Above all, Brooklyn is beyond anything I could ever have imagined and she truly is a perfect addition to our family!
